3D Bioprinting

We have teamed up with publicly listed company Cellink (part of the BICO Group) to develop 3D-printed human bone grafts, derived from sustainable marine coral.

Cellink has developed technology to print tissues such as skin, liver and cartilage. It is now aiming to use biomaterials developed by Zoan as “bioinks” to allow surgeons and researchers to print coral-derived solutions onsite using 3D bioprinters.

The partnership has the potential to revolutionise orthopaedics with the ability to have bespoke devices printed on site to be used in surgical procedures.

We know we have a unique material that can offer better patient outcomes in trauma and spine repairs. It is incredibly exciting to envisage that we can mimic and improve those results with a 3D printed solution that can offer customised patient devices.
